Eye examinations – the best value professional service available bar none.
There is a difference between a ‘sight test’ and an eye examination. A sight test is helpful only in ascertaining the need for a corrective prescription. It does NOT tell the whole story. Other factors such as binocular vision (how your eyes work together) and accommodation (how well your eyes adjust their focus) also impact the spectacle prescription.
Regular eye examinations are the best way to detect eye health problems such as cataracts and glaucoma in time for effective treatment. These examinations could also uncover serious overall health problems such as high blood pressure, diabetes or thyroid disorders.
Our optometrists recommend an annual eye examination. Prescriptions might only change every few years but it is important to monitor the general health of the eye on an annual basis to prevent and treat problems.
